We all know grey is the new black. But, did you know Road Scholar is the new Elderhostel?
The non-profit lifelong learning program that’s been around since the 70’s changed their name to appeal to the next wave of baby boomer travelers, and upped their game considerably in the process.
We used to think of Elderhostel as, well, oldsters traveling to summer continuing ed programs on college campuses, sleeping and eating in dormitory rooms. Doesn’t sound very appealing to the average boomer, does it?
Now, the revamped Road Scholar offers all kinds of all-inclusive educational adventures to France – and throughout the globe – with themes like ‘food and wine,’ ‘hiking and biking,’ and ‘art of Paris.’
What a way to spend your retirement! Or, your summer vacation, for that matter.
