We’ll give the Easter Bunny a pass, but it’s generally not a good idea to put all your resources into one place. Or, for that matter, plan your retirement with emphasis on one activity or “bucket list” goal only. Just like you’ve diversified your portfolio, why not plan a multifaceted retirement that includes different experiences and objectives? It’s great if all you want to do is spend time with the grandchildren….for a while. But, babysitting those darling cherubs might not do it for you after a few months.
That’s why Fit-To-Retire’s exclusive 100-Day Playbook offers you at least two personalized suggestions for retirement activities – based on the results of your Readiness Assessment (take it here, if you haven’t already) – in each of the four non-financial categories: Health and Nutrition (Hire a personal trainer, take a low-carb cooking class), Personal relationships (Visit the grandkids, Help organize your high school reunion), Self-Identity (Volunteer at the homeless shelter, Sign up for a mindful meditation class), and Social (Join a book club, Start a Bunco group.) Feel free to add your own ideas and inspirations! Egg decorating optional.
