How long will you live?

If only you could know for sure, right? On the other hand, would you really want to know?

That said, having an “educated guess” answer to the question makes planning for retirement a bit easier. Enter the Actuaries Longevity Illustrator, a basic tool to determine how long you and your partner might live, emphasis on might. The calculator is based on only four input factors, so take the results with a grain of salt (or pepper, if you’re watching your sodium.)  But, if you’re a charts-and-graphs type intrigued by probabilities, this site’s for you.

However, if you’re a person who gets more excited over possibilities, our Fit-To-Retire readiness assessment may be more to your liking. The survey is the first step of our exclusive 3-Step program that helps pre-retirees explore, identify and pursue their goals and dreams in their second act. The assessment measures your preparedness and enthusiasm in the five key areas of retirement success: Self Identity, Social, Personal Relationships, Health & Nutrition and Financial, and is followed up with a Pre-Retirement Checklist and customized Retirement Playbook.

Of course, it’s helpful to know approximately how long your retirement is going to last. But, what’s more important is getting the most out of the years you have left with a comprehensive plan that includes pleasure and purpose.
